A Doula is a Parenting Support Practitioner, they assist families before, during and after labour. Doulas provide education to the birthing parent and the birth partner ( should there be one) before labour. They support the birthing parent and partner emotionally and physically, assisting with the pain management, position changes, advocating for yourself and more during your delivery. In the days after the birth a Doula can also provide care in your home. Postpartum care includes things like assistance with organization, meal prep, light house work, answering questions, holding your baby to allow you to shower and rest, and so much more.
